She might have been writing about looking for love, but when I heard this song, I put my head down and cried — because that’s exactly how I felt about the Divine.

And a few years ago, when this song first came out, I was at the absolute nadir of my search — filled with a spiritual hunger no amount of ritual or churchgoing or meditation or prayer was satisfying and despairing that it would ever change.

Today, while I continue to fall down and get up again, I keep on dancing — because I’ve finally met the Divine of my dreams.
